Aluminized is a flat carbon steel product coated on both sides with an aluminum-silicon alloy and is applied by means of a continuous hot dip galvanizing process. The coating is composed of 90% aluminum and 10% silicon.
Aluminized is particularly apposite for applications requiring high resistance to oxidation at high temperatures.
